Winston died of having blood built up in his rear leg, and a tumour on his heart, which was cancer, with blood, pressing against his windpipe.
He was 13 years old, and very loved and cared for.
He will never be forgotten, and loved by all
Love you loads baby boy xxxxx

MY BEAUTIFUL FRIEND
.
The sun is still rising behind a grey curtain,
And the cold autumn grass drips with spider-web dew,
Darkness is falling each day ever earlier,
Without thinking, I still look for you.
I never had to look too far to find you,
Wherever I was then I knew you’d be near,
You didn’t need words to tell me you loved me,
The music was easy to hear.
History took us on a long ride together,
Down through the years countless days without end,
Now I have to travel without you beside me,
And I miss you, my beautiful friend.
You filled my days with the joy of your presence,
It shattered my heart to set your soul free,
But somewhere I know at the end of this journey,
In the sunshine, you’re waiting for me.
Memories warm but they don’t take your place,
And the dreams only fill me with pain in the end,
But we’ll have forever to walk in the garden,
Me and my beautiful friend.

A Friend
by Monique Eniero
Sometimes if
The amount of loneliness
In your life is big,
All you need is a dog
To share your thoughts with.
You may not understand them
When they try to speak;
But one thing's for sure,
Their love for you was never poor.
Even if they're old and bare,
They'll always care for you.
They'll be your companion,
'Til their life ends.
And when their day comes
To leave your sight,
They hope you were satisfied with them.
One thing that's always true,
Their love for you was always there.
And every day,
It was always true,
They had a special place
In their heart
Just for you.

The Other Side
I have cried a river for you
So you can swim to the other side
Just follow that stick with
My last hug and kiss
Swim baby swim
To get to the other side
Where the grass is always green
The sun always shines and
Will warm you tired bones
Swim baby swim
A treat is always waiting
And play time never stops
Just remember to look for me
When I take my final swim
I will see your tail a wagging
Can't wait for my licks from you
When I get to the other side

From time to time people tell me, "Lighten up, it's just a dog," or, "That's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent or the costs involved for "just a dog."
Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."
Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and, in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."
"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person.
Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.
So for me, and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past and the pure joy of the moment.
"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a human."
So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog." just smile....because they "just don't understand."

Should you go first
Should you go first and I remain
To walk the road alone,
I'll live in memories' garden
With happy days we've known.
In Spring I'll wait for roses red,
When faded, the lilacs blue;
In earl' Fall when brown leaves fall,
I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first and I remain,
For battles to be fought,
Each thing you've touched
Along the way,
Will be a hallowed spot.
I'll hear your bark, I'll see your smile,
Though blindly I may grope,
The memory of your helping paws
Will buoy me on with hope.
Should you go first and I remain
One thing I'll have to do,
Walk slowly down that long path
For soon I'll follow you.
I want to know each step you take
So I may take the same,
For someday down that lonely road
You'll hear me call your name.

When I have reached my journey's end♥
Now I cried when you left that day♥
You weren't here to lick my tears away♥
Time will heal, my heart will mend♥

WINSTON WITH LOVE
If there's a doggy heaven,
I know that's where you are--
About a billion miles away,
Standing on a star.
It's a doggy paradise;
No fences and no leads.
There won't be any do's or don'ts.
You can do just as you please.
There'll be lots of bones to chew
And lots of holes to dig.
There'll be lots of other dogs--
Little ones and big!
You can romp and play with new-found friends
Forever, don't you see?
So, why are you sitting at the gate
Just waiting there for me?

WINSTON ♥♥♥
IF I COULD FLY ON EAGLE’S WINGS♥
If I could fly on eagle’s wings I’d scour the realms of heaven
In my search for you. I’d call out your name so loud and so clear♥
In hopes of finding you. I’d meet other angels and ask their advice
Oh! My love with angel’s wings♥
If only I could fly on eagles wings
I’d fly to the moon and then to the stars,
I’d fly over oceans so deep and so wide,
I’d fly over mountains that reach the sky with their
Snowy white tipped peaks.♥
Oh my love with angel’s wings.
I’d knock on our Lord Gods heavenly door and ask for an audience with him.♥
Then with the angel Gabriel standing at Gods side,
I would say to our Lord God that I cannot bear to live without you.
Oh my love with angel’s wings♥
What I would not do to bring you back again!
For I see you so clearly in my mind’s eye,♥
Your wonderful smile and you’re sparkling ebony eyes.
If time would but stand still and wishes could be mine
I would fly to the realms of heaven and bring you back again.♥
If only I could fly on eagles wings.
Oh my beautiful angel in the heavens above how I long
To make you mine again.♥
For no one else can know the part of me that can’t
Let go,♥
Oh my love with angels wings♥
How I miss you so.♥

The Look In Your Eyes♥
The look in your eyes,♥
always full of love and joy.♥
Never a sad moment flashed through them♥
as they would gaze into mine.♥
Always full of shine and spark,♥
your eyes were always happy.♥
Then the day came when I would look into them for the last time.♥
I put my hand on your soft head, and you gave my hand a final lick,♥
and your tail a final wag.♥
We looked at each other in a silent moment,♥
then your sparking eyes lost their shine.♥
And I saw the life that once occupied your entire body,♥
slowly drain out of you.♥
The tears streamed down my face,♥
And I held your limp body close to me, not wanting to let go,♥
And burried my face in your fur.♥
I can feel your spirit lift,♥
And knew you had grown your angel wings.♥
I could feel you giving me your final goodbye.I knew you were ok.♥
Meanwhile, I sit here waiting for my day to come,♥
When I grow my angel wings and fly up to Heaven's♥
clearing sky to be with you again.♥
I know you are at the Bridge waiting for me and I am waiting for you.♥
I love you my friend and will never forget the look in your eyes.♥
